This is the final week to sign-up for The Salvation Army’s Christmas assistance program. The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Program provides individuals and families with food, toys, and winter accessories each holiday season.
“The Salvation Army strives to assist struggling families during the holiday season so that all community members can enjoy the season, regardless of their financial situation.” Major Mike Mills, Corps Officer, said.
Applications for Christmas assistance will be accepted Monday, December 5, 2016 through Friday, December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. On Monday, December 5, applications will be accepted from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Individuals and families seeking assistance should apply in-person at The Salvation Army located at 1707 West Chestnut Expressway. Those who apply must bring a picture ID, social security card for each member of their household, and proof of residency, such as a piece of mail within the last 30 days.
