KOLR 10 is once again hosting the 4th Annual Bucket Blitz to benefit The Salvation Army. This four day event will run from Monday, December 12 through Thursday, December 15 at Bass Pro Shops.
“This is one way we can help make a difference in the community,” said Larry Krauck, KOLR 10 Promotions Manager. “This event helps to raise awareness of the good being done by The Salvation Army and we are excited to play a part.”
The Bucket Blitz gives both businesses and individuals the opportunity to make a contribution to The Salvation Army without having to leave the comfort of their vehicle. Individuals can simply drive up to the event and someone will have a bucket ready to accept the donation. Businesses are encouraged to stop by and make a donation and challenge other businesses to do the same through television and radio interviews.
“The Bucket Blitz gives The Salvation Army a tremendous opportunity to let the community not only know where we are with the campaign, but to give the details on how we use those donations right here in the community,” Major Mike Mills, Corps Officer said.
The Bucket Blitz will be located in the southwest area of the Bass Pro parking lot from 6:00a.m. until 6:30p.m. during the four day event. Local residents are also encouraged to give at any red kettle in the area.
