The Salvation Army Emergency Overnight Warming Center will be open tonight, Tuesday, March 14 due to predicted extreme cold. Local residents in need are encouraged to come to its Warming Center located at 1707 West Chestnut Expressway in Springfield.
“While most of the local schools are out on Spring Break, mother nature decided she had other plans,” said Major Mike Mills, Corps Officer. “Hopefully this will be the last time this service is needed this season, but we are prepared should it be needed again.”
