The Salvation Army will serve its annual Community Christmas Dinner on Sunday, December 25th from 12:00p.m. to 1:00pm. Community members are invited to attend this free Christmas meal. Christmas lunch will be served at The Salvation Army Harbor House located at 636 North Booneville Avenue.
“Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord together,” said Major Mike Mills. “We are so grateful we can continue to offer a place for people to come together to celebrate on Christmas Day who may have nowhere else to go.”
The annual Christmas Dinner brings together residents from all walks of life for an afternoon of food and fellowship. In addition, all children receive a Christmas gift. This year Friendly Ford is providing the meal. In addition, Village Inn has donated the pies for dessert and Lambert’s is donating their famous rolls.
Last year, The Salvation Army provided nearly 300 community members with a Christmas meal.
